Liveblogging Bungie’s ‘Destiny 2’ Curse of Osiris Activity Reveal Stream

Bungie

Destiny 2

Today is the second of three Bungie livestreams previewing Destiny 2’s upcoming Curse of Osiris expansion, which releases on December 5th. Last week, we got a look at the story and some of the new areas on Mercury, but also a brief glimpse at some new activities including weapon forging, the Infinite Forrest and Raid Lairs.

In this second stream today, it seems like we might see some actual gameplay from more of these activities, the Infinite Forrest specifically. My guess is that Bungie will leave Raid Lairs a secret to be discovered during gameplay like they normally do with raids, but this time they’re even more disconnected from this DLC due to the fact that they have nothing to do with Osiris and the Vex, and are simply expanding the Red Wars/Calus raid instead.

I am very curious to learn what kind of activity the Infinite Forrest will be. So far we know that we will travel to the past, present and future, and that the missions we run there will be different when we do them more than once. Not procedurally generated, Bungie makes clear, but different all the same. The activity does sound vaguely like the kind of Infinite Rift activity that players have been asking for in Destiny for years, and I’m wondering if that’s close to the truth or not.

Instead of a recap post after the fact, I’m just going to do a liveblog today instead. The stream starts at 11 AM PT, and that’s when I’ll start updating here. Refresh the page frequently for new updates on top.

10:58 – Kicking off soon, these things usually start 5-7 minutes late after some Deej sound checks. The stream was way longer than I thought it would be, so I’m curious about this one.
