This Is How You Can Get A Mini NES And SNES Classic Edition Before Christmas

The NES and SNES Classic Edition consoles will be available again this month.

It’s tough to get one of Nintendo’s retro micro consoles these days.

The mini NES Classic Edition was sold out throughout the holidays last year, and has only surfaced a couple times in 2017. Meanwhile, the new SNES Classic Edition is incredibly hard to find even though Nintendo produced a much larger quantity this time.

Now both mini consoles will be available to purchase this December from online retailer, ThinkGeek. Somehow they’ve gotten a shipment of both just in time for Christmas. But there’s a twist.

Instead of just going to the website and hoping to make a purchase before the scalpers and bots clean out everything, this time around you have to enter a drawing. ThinkGeek is doing this to prevent scalpers from buying everything up the moment theses go on sale.

Customers will have until 11:59 PM next Friday (the 8th) to enter the drawing. Winners will be emailed and will be able to select either the NES Classic, the SNES Classic or both. (But not more than one of each.)

Honestly, entering a drawing probably increases your chances over trying to buy these in the seconds they’re usually available online. Both systems will be priced at MSRP and aren’t bundled with anything, which is also nice.

You can go here to enter the drawing. Good luck!
