Xbox One X, S Vudu App Now Supports 4K HDR10

The Vudu app now supports 4K HDR10 streaming on Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

According to Vudu’s official blog, those with compatible devices, which also include Nvidia Shield, Roku Ultra, and select smart TVs, can begin streaming HDR content immediately. At launch, the service will offer “over 36 movies” with HDR10 support.

With the addition of HDR10, Vudu looks to bring HDR content to “millions more devices.” The video streaming app previously implemented support for Dolby Vision HDR, though that’s widely considered to be the less popular of the two HDR formats.
